FURRVENIENCE PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 23 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how FurrVenience collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal information when you visit our website, place an order, contact us, submit a review, interact with our ads or otherwise use our services.

In this Privacy Policy, "FurrVenience", "we", "us" and "our" mean the online store trading as FurrVenience, operated under ABN 67 834 409 708. "You" and "your" mean a customer, website visitor or person who interacts with us.

We are based in Australia and sell to customers in Australia and worldwide. Where applicable, we aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles and other privacy laws that apply to our business.

1. Quick summary

We collect personal information so we can run our online store, process payments, fulfil orders, provide customer support, manage returns, improve our website, publish reviews, prevent fraud and run marketing or advertising.

FurrVenience uses a dropship and direct-fulfilment model. All products ship from China by third-party suppliers, manufacturers or fulfilment partners. This means we share the shipping information needed to fulfil your order with relevant third-party companies, including China-based fulfilment partners and carriers.

We do not currently use SMS marketing or SMS order updates. We may use email marketing in future, and you will be able to unsubscribe from marketing emails.

2. Personal information we collect

  • Contact and identity information: name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address and account details.
  • Order and payment information: products ordered, order number, checkout details, payment status, refund details, delivery details and limited payment information. We do not store your full card number.
  • Customer support information: messages, questions, complaints, return requests, cancellation requests, photos or videos of products, packaging or delivery issues, and any other information you choose to send us.
  • Review and user content: ratings, reviews, photos, videos, display names, social media handles, testimonials and other content you submit or authorise us to use.
  • Website and device information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, cookie identifiers, pixel identifiers and similar analytics or advertising data.
  • Marketing information: your marketing preferences, ad interactions, campaign source, email engagement and whether you have opted in or opted out of marketing.
  • Pet-related information you provide: pet type, size, preferences or other details you voluntarily provide when asking questions, submitting reviews or choosing products.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information, veterinary records, medical information or unnecessary information about you or your pet unless we specifically ask for it and it is needed to help with your request.

3. How we collect personal information

We collect personal information:

  • directly from you when you browse, create an account, place an order, join a mailing list, submit a review, contact us, request a return, enter a promotion or communicate with us;

  • from social media platforms if you tag us, message us, comment on our pages, submit content or interact with our ads.

4. Why we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • operate our Shopify store and website;
  • process orders, payments, refunds, returns and cancellations;
  • submit orders to third-party suppliers and fulfilment partners in China;
  • arrange shipping, tracking, customs processing and delivery support;
  • respond to customer support questions, product issues, complaints and requests;
  • assess faulty, damaged, unsafe, missing, delayed or not-as-described products;
  • prevent, detect and investigate fraud, unauthorised payments, misuse and security issues;
  • publish, moderate and use customer reviews, photos, videos and testimonials;

5. Who we disclose personal information to

We disclose personal information only where it is reasonably needed for our store, services, legal obligations or business operations. Recipients may include:

  • Shopify: our store platform, checkout, hosting and related ecommerce services.
  • Payment providers: payment gateways and providers available at checkout, such as card processors, Shop Pay, PayPal or other payment options we make available.
  • China-based suppliers and fulfilment partners: third-party companies that receive the order and shipping information needed to pack and ship your products.
  • Carriers and delivery providers: domestic and international postal, courier, freight, customs and last-mile delivery partners.
  • Customer support, email and review tools: providers that help us answer messages, send emails, collect reviews, display reviews or manage user-generated content.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms: including Meta, Google and TikTok, where we use or plan to use pixels, ads, analytics, retargeting or campaign measurement.

  • Business transfer recipients: if we sell, transfer, restructure or negotiate a sale or transfer of all or part of our business.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, some privacy laws may treat certain advertising cookies, pixels, retargeting or data-sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising as a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising". If those laws apply to you, you may have the right to opt out as described below.

6. Overseas disclosures

Because FurrVenience uses a dropship and direct-fulfilment model, we disclose shipping information to China-based suppliers, manufacturers and fulfilment partners so they can process, pack and ship orders.

We and our service providers may also store, process or access personal information in Australia, China, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Singapore and other countries where Shopify, carriers, advertising platforms, analytics providers, cloud providers or business service providers operate.

Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use service providers and fulfilment partners that are expected to handle personal information appropriately for the purpose of providing services to us.

7. Shopify and payment processing

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information to provide ecommerce, checkout, hosting, payment, fraud-prevention, analytics and related services to us. Shopify may also process personal information for its own purposes as described in Shopify's privacy materials.

You can read more about Shopify's privacy practices at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Payment information is processed by the payment providers available at checkout. We receive information such as payment status and limited payment details, but we do not receive or store your full card number.

8. Cookies, pixels and advertising

We use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools and similar technologies to run our website, remember preferences, understand store performance, measure ads, improve products and show relevant advertising.

We run Meta advertising and may use Meta Pixel or related tools. We also plan to use Google and TikTok advertising tools. These platforms may collect or receive information from our website and other apps or websites to provide measurement services and targeted advertising, subject to their own privacy terms and your platform settings.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. You can also adjust ad preferences through platforms such as Meta, Google and TikTok. If our website provides a data-sharing opt-out page or cookie preference tool, you can use that tool to make available choices for your browser or device.

9. Email marketing

We do not currently send regular marketing emails, but we may do so in future. If you subscribe, opt in, enter a promotion or otherwise consent where required, we may send you emails about products, offers, launches, pet-related content or store updates.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at contact@furrvenience.com. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send transactional or service emails about orders, shipping, refunds, returns, account security or customer support.

10. SMS messages

We do not currently use SMS marketing and we do not currently send SMS order updates, to the best of our knowledge. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain any consent required by law.

11. Reviews and user-generated content

If you submit a review, photo, video, testimonial, social media tag or other content, we may publish or use that content on our website, social media, ads, emails or other marketing materials, in accordance with our Terms of Service.

Please do not include private information, sensitive information or information about other people in a review or public comment unless you have their permission.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps may include using reputable service providers, access controls, secure checkout services, fraud-prevention tools and account security practices.
